Golf Property in Romania
Bucharest – Swiss Golf & Leisure Development has begun the project of the biggest golf club in Romania – Golf and Country Club Bucharest, a project that needs total investments worth EUR 50 M. The project is located less than five kilometres to Bucharest, in Zurbaua commune, between Chitila and Buftea. The construction works will start in March, and construction finalisation is planned for September 2008. The project includes a professional 18-hole course, with a total length of 6,350 m, which allows the organisation of international competitions, one course consisting of six holes for training, a residential ensemble with 240-300 high standard units, a four-star hotel, sport fields and a tennis school, restaurant and other facilities for the social aspect of this sport. “The construction of the golf courses ensemble and of the club’s headquarters is financed by Swiss Golf & Leisure Development, and the investment reaches approx EUR 6.5 M – 7 M. Other approx EUR 40 M will be spent for the building of the residential and commercial are, Swiss Gold & Leisure Development holding negotiations with several Romanian and foreign investors,” said Radu Chiriac, Head of Planning with Swiss Golf & Leisure Development.
